Meet Wildspring’s Founder: Rachael Bailey

With a first life in environmental science, Rachael has evolved; producing and managing projects for media, nature conservation and the Arts, as well as small and big business. She’s been leading digital content projects for 20 years.

Rachael is co-editor of the Australian anthology Women’s Work: a Collection of Contemporary Women’s Poetry – one of her passion projects. She’s produced award-winning environmental education programs and business websites.

In her time wrangling suits and spreadsheets, she’s yearned for more time with the craft of writing, while staying immersed in digital and business.

Bringing a swag of experience to every job, Rachael leans towards projects that tune in to her lifelong love of the environment, science, and adventure travel.

Rachael lives in Sydney with her family in a jungle of her own. When she’s not working, she’s most alive in her natural habitat – deep in the mountains of northern NSW – somewhere near the Wildspring.

We’re not a steel coil gone rogue, nor are we a tempestuous September day.

Our name’s inspired by a place deep in the mountains where clear water springs from the earth; flowing through rainforests into vast oceans and faraway places.
