Their passionate team is involved in cutting edge research, clinical treatment, community education and training of health professionals. The Black Dog Institute website is a crucial resource for a large and varied audience.

To kick off the project, Wildspring held a Content Strategy workshop with the marketing team and psychology professionals at the Black Dog Institute.

This enabled us to:

  • clearly establish user personas and audience needs
  • discover priorities of internal teams
  • learn about pressing issues and new developments in mental health
  • ensure everyone was on the same page from the onset
  • understand the layout, tone and organisational goals for content

This initial work enabled us to conduct more targeted expert interviews across a range of mental health subject areas.

A crucial consideration was ensuring people needing urgent help and resources could find it readily. Professional, thoroughly researched content backed by science was imperative, as was our tone of voice.
